With dishing out of impressive fun entertainers one after the other in the recent times, it looks like Punjabi cine industry is all set to capture the pinnacle of excellence. In the last few years with some really captivating cine delights (having some novel Gen-X ideas at their core) which has firmly succeeded in fetching a heavy bunch of accolades from the masses, Punjwood has thoroughly proved that Punjabi cinematographic prowess has taken a quantum leap and has leapt out of the stable of Desi-ism, which so far use to govern the Punjabi movie making.

Be it "Jatt and Juliet" or "Carry on Jatta" every movie consisted ample amount of freshness and condiments of modernity to pull the spectators to the movie arenas. And so is the case with recently released Amrinder Gill, Jasvinder Bhalla and Harish Sharma starrer, "Daddy Cool Munde Fool", which was released on the occasion of Baisaki and opened with almost jam-packed occupancy at the multiplexes.

Premise of, "Daddy Cool Munde Fool" narrates the tale of a widower, Parminder Singh aka Pappi (Jasvinder Bhalla) who is the father of two zany, degenerate and careless boys, Munny (Amrinder Gill) and Gunny (Harish Sharma) and their unfortunate yet funny interrelated love lives.

In order to get rid of his son's mischiefs, Pappi decides to resettle but everything boomerangs, when the lady whom Pappi wants to marry i.e. Dilraaj Kaur ( Amar Noorie) turns out to be the mother of the the two girls, Rinki (Yuvika Choudhery) and Minki (Ihana Dhillon) who are incidentally the love interests of Munny and Gunny.

So in order to find out, whether it's Daddy's coolness that triumphs or the Foolishness of sons that has the final laugh, have a rendezvous with this "Whizzbang of Humor."

Well, with a fresh premise (atleast in the Punjwood) the script of "Daddy Cool Munde Fool", in spite of having a kind of comedy of error at its base is a neatly conceptualised tale, which do not complicate the the narration unnecessarily.

Constant prevalence of unpredictability in premise of Daddy Cool Mundey Fool's script is another magnificent feature of the tale which firmly succeeds in keeping audience's gazes glued to the screen, with viewers constantly guessing till the very end that what follows next. In fact it won't be wrong to say that, while penning down the script of the movie, Rajan Agarwal has thoroughly succeeded in keeping unwanted puzzlement at bay and has come up with an impressive script to perform upon.

With some very elementary techniques used to craft an impressive cine flick, screenplay of "Daddy Cool Munde Fool" is again simple and very much in accordance with the spirit of the movie.

Ever since the first frame, the flow of the narration takes off with a marvellous smoothness and till the culmination never loses its momentum. And for such a captivating flow of narration which constantly keeps masses attention seized till the climax, screenplay conceptualisers, Amberdeep Singh & Rajan Agarwal deserves pat on their back.

But the man who deserves a huge bunch of accolades for his outstanding effort and taking Punjabi movie making to another level of excellence is, director Simerjit Singh, who consistently kept every aspect pertaining to "Daddy Cool Munde Fool", under tab in order to dish out a marvellous cine delight.

Be it onscreen camaraderie of the actors, spontaneity of humor or the emotional expression everything seems to be so natural that you can't resist plunging into the onscreen proceedings.

Music of Dr Zeus is alright and somewhat succeeds in pleasing you. With some peppy numbers in it music of "Daddy Cool Munde Fool" is just OK, with "Tauba Tauba" being the pick of the deck.

As far as performances are concerned then singer turned actor Amrinder Gill, thoroughly succeeds in proving that besides his singing skills he has got ample potential to act also. After his previous cine stints Harish Sharma has once again succeeded in proving his acting prowess and has quite comfortably carried his character. But the man who completely steals the show is veteran thespian, Jasvinder Bhalla, who by his exceptional acting dexterity not only carries the movie on his shoulder, but also raises his performance benchmark to another level of excellence.

Love interest of Bhalla in the movie, Amar Noorie also succeeds in leaving her mark. Both pretty faces of movie Yuvika and Ihana tries hard to prove their acting ability but could have been better.

Besides this in a short yet impressive role the man who thoroughly succeeds in making his presence feel is, Rana Ranbir.

To sum up, knitted around the core of an impressive storyline with some outstanding performances, and a soothing dose of hilarity "Daddy Cool Munde Fool" is a Whizzbang of entertainment.
