Manisha had a narrow escape from the battered country. She was held in captivity by the ruling Taliban recently. But using her wit and guts the actress managed o free herself from their clutches and run miles and miles without food or water, until she crossed the border and returned to India.

Well if you think the Nepali beauty actually went through this trauma then you are mistaken. This whole thing is just a part of the film called, `Escape From Afghanistan`, directed by Ujjal Chaudhary which is allegedly based on the true story of a housewife from Kolkata.

Manisha Koirala happened to be playing the role of the housewife. Let`s hope the Taliban don`t get to catch a glimpse of the film!
