When Arjun was narrated the script, he was asked to shave it off and the director had a tough time convincing him to do it.
Arjun even does not like to get clicked without his stubble. He has shot for about seven scenes without the stubble and told his crew not to click any pictures of him.
He did not even allow a camera person on the sets to take his snaps during the shoot! But in those scenes, the audience will see him sans a stubble, no?
To work with Atul Sabbarwal again
Impressed with a positive response to the trailer of the forthcoming film "Aurangzeb", producer Aditya Chopra has given the green sigal to director Atul Sabbarwal and actor Arjun Kapoor to start work on their next venture.
According to a source close to the project, Aditya Chopra is really happy and excited with the reaction the trailer has generated.
"From the first look itself, Aditya has become positive about the film. He is so content and glad with the team that he has given the go-ahead to Atul and Arjun to plan their next film," added the source.
Arjun made his debut with 2012 political thriller "Ishaqzaade", which was produced by Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films (YRF).
Interestingly, Arjun's debut film released in May last year and "Aurangzeb" too is coming out May 17.
Aditya is very happy with Arjun Kapoor's work, so much so that he signed Arjun for "Aurangzeb" even before "Ishaqzaade" released, said the source and added: "Adi feels that Arjun is an actor with huge potential. He is a performer who can pull out diverse roles and is yet to be explored."
A crime thriller about land mafia and police, "Aurangzeb" is YRF's first association with director Atul Sabbarwal, who directed television series "Powder" for YRF Television.
If "Aurangzeb" has seasoned actors like Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and Amrita Singh, it also features southern star Prithviraj Sukumaran and marks the debut of Sashaa Agha, daughter of "Nikaah" fame Pakistani actress Salma Agha.
