"The talks are on and the film is in its initial stage. I just had one meeting with the team and nothing has been finalised yet. I haven't even signed the film yet, " Shukla, who brought onscreen an interesting battle between a human being and the almighty with "Oh My God", told.
"Right now I am busy with my film with Abhishek Bachchan, so the next film will go on the floors by 2014, " he added.
Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 1975 release "Chupke Chupke" had a host of stars - Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan - who shared screen space with veteran character artists like Om Prakash and David as well as fine comedian Asrani.
All of the them created such a magic on the screen that even today the clean comedy entertains movie aficionados, especially with the hilarious Hindi-English war between Pyare Mohan and his boss.
"It's a wonderful concept and I really liked the idea. We need to work a lot on the script. I don't believe in the concept of remakes, so it will be more of an adaptation of 'Chupke Chupke', " said Shukla.
There were reports that Sharman Joshi will step into Dharmendra's shoes, while Manish Paul will play Amitabh's part.
But Shukla didn't confirm the names, saying: "We have not even started working on the script, so forget about casting. I don't know where these rumours come from. I have high respect for Sharman and Manish but nothing has been finalised yet."
