It's that time of the year when several Bollywood folks are excitedly making travel plans to be a part of the Cannes film festival.
While his colleagues are rushing around deciding what to wear Neil Nitin Mukesh prefers stay back and continue with his work, even though his film Shortcut Romeo is all set to go to Cannes for a special screening. The entire cast as well as director Susi Ganeshan will be attending the film festival.
Neil, who plays the main lead in the film, is skipping it as he is shooting for Manish Vatsalya's film in Pune.
He's been shooting for the political thriller non-stop since over a month and will continue to shoot till the wrap up. As it is a one-schedule film, the shoot is expected to go on for at least another month.
Neil's spokesperson confirms, `That's true. The actor has been shooting non-stop for his next film in Pune and will be unable to visit Cannes.`
The actor is slated to return to Mumbai once he gets done with the shoot. Says a unit source, `He has completely disconnected from everyone. Be it his family, his team, social media. He is in touch with no one and just concentrating on his shoot for the film.
In fact, this is the first time that he is not in touch with his family. Usually, wherever he is shooting, he regularly calls up his younger brother Naman and other family members.`
