She is going to the prestigious film fest, starting May 15, with her film "Monsoon Shootout".
"At Cannes, people focus on what you wear (more) than anything else. I am very excited and I love dressing up and one of my Australian designer friends will be designing my outfit. It's a western gown, which will have an ethnic Indian work on it, " Tannishtha told.
The actress, who will represent her first Indian film at Cannes, says "It's a wonderful way of celebrating hundred years of Indian cinema."
"My film 'Monsoon Shootout' has got official entry at Cannes and I am very excited about it, " she added.
Directed by Amit Kumar and produced by Anurag Kashyap, "Monsoon Shootout" features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tannishtha in the lead roles.
