Singer Akriti Kakkar who was not given due credit for her song Abhi Abhi from Jism 2 now has a reason to cheer

Among the Indian films to be screened at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival is Monsoon Shootout in which Akriti has lent her voice to the item song Miss You Balma. Says Akriti, `I am delighted to be part of a not so typical item number which is woven into the story of the movie.

Chinmay Harshe, who has composed and written the song, marks his debut into music direction after being a sound engineer all these years. The song fuses desi and western shades of music perfectly. I am waiting for the response at the festival.`
