The actor had to opt out of his dream project 'Gunday' after sustaining a grievous injury

Actor Sushant Singh was looking forward to his first-ever film under the Yash Raj banner with the upcoming film Gunday.

However, fate had something else in store for him as the actor, known for his power-packed performances, recently suffered from injuries in the gym. Unfortunately the injury turned out to be a slipped disc, forcing the actor to opt out of the film.


Sushant was supposed to join the rest of the cast of Ali Abbas Zafar's film from yesterday.

Our source says, `Sushant had been busy since the past one month in the gym getting into shape for his role in the film. He wanted to look perfect as his role is quite important in the storyline.

However just a couple of days ago, he experienced some pain in his back while working out. With his slipped disc, he has now been rendered immobile for some time and is recuperating in his Andheri residence. `

A disappointed Singh tells us, `I was working very hard in the gym on my physique but now I have to remain at home. `
