"Rohit was in the city on a personal trip and he happened to visit us on the sets. He spent some time watching us shoot and afterwards bonded really well with the cast. It was fun having him on the sets," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
Shetty helmed the blockbuster "Bol Bachchan", which featured Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin Thottumkal and Prachi Desai in the lead roles.
The remake features Venkatesh Daggubati, Ram Pothineni, Anjali and Shazahn Padamsee in lead roles, which Vijaya Bhaskar is directing.
"Surprise visit by director of 'Bol Bachchan' - Rohit Shetty. He came to our sets to wish us good luck. Thank you, sir," posted Ram Pothineni on his Twitter page.
Sravanti Ravi Kishore and Daggubati Suresh Babu are jointly producing the film, which also features Jayaprakash Reddy, M.S. Narayana, Ali and Brahmanandam in important roles.
The film, which went on the floors recently, is being shot in places such Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune.
