They may have parted ways many seasons ago, but buzz is that Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif might come together to shake a leg for an item number in an upcoming film.
According to insiders, director Sawan Kumar Tak has approached the former sweethearts to perform in an item number for the sequel of his 1983 film Souten.
A source says, `Sawan Kumar has been wanting to make Souten 2 from a very long time now. Lot of people thought that the sequel would never work out. But looks like there has been some progress on the project.`
An insider adds, `The film gave some memorable tracks including Shayad meri shaadi ka khayal but the sequel will have a different kind of music.`
Despite repeated attempts, Sawan Kumar's phone number was not reachable.
An SMS from Katrina's spokesperson read, `...not that I know of.`
