If sources are to be believed, director Vikramaditya Motwane has ordered his unit folk, including his cast, to remain tight-lipped about the actual content of his next film.
Those close to the project indicate that while the promos and theatre trailers have already showen bits and pieces of the film, the actual story is quite different from what has already been revealed.
A source from the unit says, `Though Vikramaditya gave a narration and even discussed the scenes with his team including Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh, he made sure no one finds out what exactly the story of the film is about. Once the shoot ended, he ordered everyone not to leak the plot. The real story of the film is very different from what seems to be in the promos.`
Apparently the marketing team working on the promotions has also been kept in the dark.
The source adds, `Vikramaditya feels that the story cannot be explained on simple black and white paper. He also wants to rouse the curiosity factor among his audience and wishes to see their reaction as the drama unfolds.
Vikramaditya remained unavailable for comment.
Hush-hush
Like Vikramaditya, few other directors who have imposed a similar diktat:
Anurag Basu
He too followed the same formula of not revealing the climax of Barfi! His team was asked not to give away details of his film.
Reema Kagti
Aamir Khan, Reema and Talaash's co-writer Zoya Akhtar went on social media to appeal to the audience not to talk about the film's ending.
Sujoy Ghosh
The filmmaker and Vidya Balan managed to keep Kahaani's ending a secret.
Kannan Iyer
Producers Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj along with the director apparently decided to shoot the climax scene of their film just a couple weeks before the film's release so that none of the unit members could divulge the plot.
