The actress has been handpicked by Ekta Kapoor for 'Villain' directed by Mohit Suri with Siddharth Malhotra in lead

Looks like her last release Aashiqui 2 has got Shraddha Kapoor noticed. Our sources say that the actress has been roped in by Ekta Kapoor for her upcoming production. Mohit Suri, who helmed Shraddha's last, will be directing this film as well.

Insiders say the actress has been cast opposite Siddharth Malhotra. A source says, `Mohit had been looking for the female lead for his upcoming romantic thriller. Shraddha liked the script and given that Mohit directed her first-ever hit, she didn't have to think twice before giving her nod. `

This film will also be Mohit's first outside the Bhatt camp.

A source close to the project says, `Both Ekta and Mohit were on the hunt for an actress. And after the public's reaction to Aashiqui 2, it was quite an easy job for them to choose Shraddha. `

The actress remained unavailable for comment.
