Actor Irrfan Khan, who will be seen in action-spy-thriller 'D Day', was apprehensive about taking up Nikhil Advani's project initially

"I was impressed with the kind of script he had written but I was trying to understand whether he will make the same thing or will he change it during the making.

"Sometimes people for the sake of story telling sacrifice the detailing of the character from the story. I was a little concerned about it. I was not sure if he will make what he had written on paper, " he said. Advani wanted international standard action for his high octane thriller 'D Day'.

One of the top most American action directors Tom Struthers, who co-coordinated the action scenes in 'Blood Diamond', 'Inception', 'The Dark Knight' and others was roped in by Advani for 'D Day'. Irrfan was not sure if Nikhil would be roping in Hollywood action director.

"He had promised that he will bring Hollywood stunt or action directors. I thought people only talk about it and not do it. I was trying to be a little cautious about it. I wanted to make sure that whatever he is saying he will deliver, " Irrfan added.

Actors Arjun Rampal and Irrfan Khan will be seen doing never-before action scenes in the film. "When Nikhil brought in action director Thomas Struthers and stunt co-coordinator John Street of 'The Dark Knight' fame here, that is the time when I became sure about the movie. I realised that he was not fooling around, " Irrfan said. The actor had a great experience doing the stunts in the film.

"It was very systematic. We did training before we started shooting. We were well trained, " he said. 'D Day' is about a ragged bunch of RAW agents who are given the task to bring back India's most wanted man. It stars Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Arjun Rampal, Shruti Haasan, Huma Qureshi among others. The movie is slated to release on July 19.
