It's official. Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam and Rishi Kapoor's son Ranbir will be launched by none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali
in his next film, that's yet to be titled.
This time around, the master of romance has decided to try his hand at a "teenage
love story". Both Ranbir and Sonam had assisted Bhansali during the making of the Amitabh Bachchan-Rani Mukerji starrer, Black.
There were rumours that Ranbir would either be launched by Aditya Chopra or in a home-production that was to be directed by dad,
Rishi.
"At the moment, I am too busy with acting assignments. I have no intention to wield the megaphone in the near
future," said Rishi. When this correspondent asked him how he felt about Bhansali launching his son, the greying actor stated, "I don't
wish to comment on this topic."
Bhansali was supposed to make another period film set in Kolkata, but has now put the project on hold. He will begin work on the
Ranbir-Sonam starrer soon. Bhansali seems pleased with their chemistry, considering he finalised the newcomers only after
organising a photo-shoot with them.
