Actor Sharman Joshi is die-hard film buff and watches every film at the theatre

`It is fun watching a film with the audience,` says the actor, who is quite busy right now. In a free-wheeling conversation with CS, Sharman talks about working with Rekhaji, films and choices.

Wow veterans
I had a wonderful time working with Rekhaji and Randhir Kapoor. They have shared screen space together in many films, and their bonhomie was fun to watch.

Randhirji kept everyone on the sets entertained with his jokes and stories. He has a fantastic sense of humour, which can shock you initially. I was awestruck the first day I shot with Rekhaji. Then on, it was a normal working relationship.

She asked me, `Sharman, how would it be if I behaved like a diva?` I told her, Ma'am it would be little painful but we would manage somehow. Later, she told me that she loved the fact that I did not treat like a diva or behave pretentiously with her.

Bollywood gets better
I feel that Bollywood has seen a fascinating change since 2012. Artists and technicians have benefited immensely from it. I feel it is because of the multiplexes.

Nowadays, more people flock to the theatres. This wasn't the case before as upper class people did not want to mix with the common gentry. Likewise, with a variety of films, there's something for every kind of film buff. With a number of multiplexes coming in Tier 2 cities, things will get better.

Filmy fundas
I would say that I am a director's actor who relies on his instincts. I believe that the director is the captain of the ship and all of us have to work towards his vision. As far as flops are concerned, I will say that I don't regret any film of mine. I feel that all of us make mistakes and we should redeem ourselves when we get another opportunity, but there are no regrets.
