The actress, who had featured in "Yaad Rakhegi Duniya" almost 10 years ago, feels elated to work with the well-known director.
"I feel privileged that I have got two very good films, coming from a reputed banner on my comeback after such a long time," Rukhsar enthuses.
She said she was ecstatic when she got a call from Ram Gopal Varma for the role in "Sarkar".
"I could not believe it until I actually signed on the dotted line," she said.
In "Sarkar", Rukhsar plays a totally deglamorised role of the elder daughter-in-law who puts up a brave front against all odds.
"I am absolutely without make-up and clad in saris throughout the film. The only time I did use make-up was under the eyes to get the tired look in the film," she said.
In "D", she plays the role of a headstrong and glamorous girl, who falls for the protagonist's charms and is ready to do anything for him.
"The two roles are totally different."
She excitedly recalls the time when she faced the camera with Amitabh Bachchan in "Sarkar".
"It was like a dream come true for me. I had seen Amitji's films in my childhood days and it was initially difficult to believe that I was standing in the same frame," she said.
Rukhsar has a few other projects lined up but she does not want to divulge the details yet.
"I would like to talk about them only after I have signed them," she said.
