Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh turned 28 years on Saturday.

His birthday comes at a time when the actor is garnering appreciation for his recently released film "Lootera".

According to media reports, Ranveer will celebrate his birthday with family and friends in Mumbai.

Second cousin to Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, Ranveer commenced his career in the silver screen with Yash Raj Films (YRF) venture called 'Band Baaja Baaraat' in 2010.

After its release, 'Band Baaja Baaraat' became a critical and commercial success, with Ranveer's portrayal of Bittoo being lauded by critics.

Post his debut film, Ranveer continued experimenting with new roles, like that of a con artist in 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' (2011).

Actress Priyanka Chopra took it to social networking site Twitter to wish the actor on his birthday.
