Imran told actor Karan V Grover who plays the main lead Raaj in the show, `I think your role in Punarvivaah is most fascinating. A man setting out to get his own wife remarried after their divorce is a very unique circumstance ... something one doesn't hear or read about everyday. It would be interesting to dwell into the dynamics between the two that lead up to such an unusual event.`
Imran said, `What appealed to me the most was the idea of two people who have chosen to separate as a result of their incompatibility and yet continue to cultivate a dignified, cordial relationship post their divorce - the fact that the man would care enough to set out in search of a suitable groom for his ex-wife speaks volumes about how there can be positivity between two people even if their marriage has ended.
"This is a progressive thought and I'm glad to see television mirroring the changing times!`
Karan V Grover said, `Imran Khan is a youth icon and represents a modern school of thought. The kind of films he associates with reflects his modern, young sensibilities. His feedback to me about the show and my role in particular was most heartening. It's great to know that he thinks our show encourages progressive thinking!`
