Paresh Rawal has been roped in for Kunal Deshmukh's film starring Emraan Hashmi

A birdie chirps that the makers were keen to rope in a big star who decided to opt out. Rawal was then cast instead. Apparently the script was written with the said actor in mind. Considering Rawal's acting chops, we would say all's well that ends well.
