How a rath yatra in Ahmedabad attended by Narendra Modi put cold water on promotion plans of a Hindi film 'Issaq'

While there had been a lot of hoopla about a community rath yatra in Ahmedabad attended by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, it looks like it managed to pose some problems for the makers of an upcoming film starring Prateik and Amyra Dastur.

According to sources, the cast was supposed to touch down in the city for their film promotions on Wednesday. Their tickets and accommodation had been arranged for much in advance. However, with news about Modi's impending trip, all plans had to be cancelled on Tuesday night.

A source says, `The team was supposed to hold a press conference, visit a school, a mall and a discotheque in Ahmedabad.`

According to insiders, the city was almost turned intro a fortress with security arrangements for the politician. `It would have become a logistical nightmare for anything else to take place in the city,` adds the source.
