A lot of eyebrows were raised after Arbaaz Khan took up the directorial reins of Salman Khan's Dabangg 2, after the Khans had a fall out with Abhinav Kashyap, who helmed the star's first film as Chulbul Pandey. The film went on to be a success that raked in big moolah for the makers.
But if rumours are to be believed, Salman has apparently asked Arbaaz to carve out his own space in the industry. And the actor-turned-director is said to have already started working on his next venture, a film to be directed by Abhishek Dogra. And Salman is apparently not a part of the project.
A source says, `The two have finalised the script and the casting will start by the end of this year. Salman told Arbaaz that he needs to find his own space and that he won't star in his next project.`
According to insiders, Sallu is apparently quite confident about his brother's directorial chops and his knack of picking up great scripts.
Dogra worked as an assistant director with R Balki for Paa and Arbaaz is said to be producing his directorial debut. Arbaaz remained unavailable for comment.
