The pretty girl who's seen in numerous fashion shows talks to CS about her fashion statement, upcoming projects and being a newbie:
Fashion fundas
It is very important to be comfortable in your own skin. I don't like following trends. It's crazy to wear something just because the entire world is wearing it. I would rather see what suits me best, and dress according to the occasion, mood and my body type.
People are different and why make them homogenous by wearing the same clothes? My fashion icon is Blake Lively. She's stunning and gorgeous.
Though I wouldn't be able to carry some of the bold outfits she wears, what I like is that she stresses on comfort. Closer home, I think Deepika Padukone is glamorous yet girl-next-door.
Filmy tadka
After my first film didn't do well, I had my share of struggle. As of now, I am waiting for my second film to release. While the first one was high school romance, this one is a gripping thriller. My experience with director Vikram Bhatt was great.
He helped me understand the role in great detail. He was clear about not enrolling me for a workshop, as he insisted that my acting should be spontaneous.
We have finished shooting for most part of the film. Working with Kunal Khemu was fun as he is a prankster. He is also a very talented musician - he writes his own music and plays the guitar.
Popular Papa
Of course there is pressure on me, but I don't take it very seriously. For me, it is important to prove myself as an actor and live up to the reputation of my dad. I want to do my good work, just like my dad.
