To make sure his upcoming film releases on Eid, the makers of Shah Rukh Khan's next have decided to postpone its release by a day. Initially, Eid was believed to fall on August 8. But now that the auspicious day will fall a day later, the film has been pushed to August 9.
A source says, `A national holiday has been declared on August 9. The film is a big budget project. It's much anticipated as it is the star's first film with Rohit Shetty. The producers are expecting a huge opening and releasing the film a day later makes wise business decision. `
According to insiders, the film's team met up a couple of days ago at SRK'S residence and the decision to delay the release was taken unanimously.
`We always wanted to come on Eid. And now as the festival will be celebrated on August 9, which also happens to be a bank holiday, it makes sense to release the film on the same day, ` says Gaurav Verma, director of Theatrical Distribution, Studios, Disney UTV.
