There is no denying the fact that our B-town celebs have some of the prettiest faces in the world, but it's not, that it is the only thing which makes them the heart throb of millions.

Actually it's because of the applaudable effort of those adroitness lens men who truly extract the beauty of these stars of cine galaxy. And one such name in the arena of photo-journalism is that of Mr R.T. Chawla, who has not only captured some of the renowned faces of Bollywood but has also made them look even more prettier.

So here are some of the excerpt from the interview of this ace lens man:

In the era when you opted for this career it was one of the unconventional choices, then how come it happened to you?
Well, you can call it something that happened by chance, my stepping in this arena dates back to 1988 when shooting for Dharmendra starrer Elan-e-Jung was going on. There I clicked some of the stills of the shoot and shared them with actors and the crew of the people who thoroughly liked it. On seeing those stills clicked by me Mr Joginder then one of the ace lens men of Bollywood not only boosted my morale but also invited me to come down to Mumbai. Although initially I took it as a casual invitation but one fine day I decided to give it a try and landed in the city of dreams.

Initially I captured festivals like Ganesh Utsava, but subsequently developed a fascination for Bollywood. I can still remember the first movie for which performed the photo shoot was for Pathar Ka Insaan and from my there journey in Bollywood began.

Being not from tinsel town did you ever feel like being an outsider?
No, rather all the top actors of that era were not only cooperative but were encouraging too. And one of the names which I can never forget from that league of actors is of Mr Vinod Khanna. At that time there was a notion about Vinodji that he is a very picky actor and prefers to work with only those whom he trusts, but when I exhibited my wish to him he agreed at once and constantly remained supportive for me.

Did you ever felt different from others for having a somewhat different career choice?
(Laugh) Actually I was an average performer in academics, and had never been in very cordial terms with books so there is no question of opting for other such professions like Doctors or engineers. But yes Photography was my passion and hence I never felt uneasy about its being an unconventional career choice.

In such a long course of career you would have worked with so many stars so who do you think has got the prettiest face or persona?
Well, as far as it's about picking up the prettiest face of the Bollywood then it is surely a difficult to pick any one of them, but yes Sridevi and Madhuri are the two such actresses whom I think have great features. But as far as capturing them in lens is concerned then I think it's Madhuri who conveniently makes it to the top slot.

As far as Sridevi is concerned then undoubtedly she is among some of the most beautiful women of the Industry, but while capturing her in camera her real beauty comes out only from some specific angles, whereas in case of Madhuri it hardly matters from which angle you are clicking her.

Whom do you think is most courteous male star of Bollywood?
Undoubtedly its Vinod Khanna, but yes at the same time I would like to make a special mention of Shahrukh's attitude and confidence which made him a superstar.

The incidents date back to 90s when Shahrukh was shooting for Zamaanaa Deewana along with Raveena, at that time usually stars use to avoid getting clicked with their female co-stars, but Shahrukh never bothered about such things.

Do you feel any difference in the era when you started photography and in the current scenario?
Surely there is, in the era we use to work, we use to share a very cordial bonding with the actor and actresses. Even I had worked with numerous stars like Divya Bharti, Shilpa Shetty, Kimi Katkar and many more, but our bonding use to have a mutual emotional reciprocity involved in it.

But in current era focus seems to have shifted, now a few of the Gen-X lens men feels that exposing a sneak peek is the only mantra to make it big in journalism and photography. Just a few days back I come to know about one of the recent trends that have emerged in Page 3 photography profession and that is of "Papa-Raju", where lens men voyeuristically try to capture the personal lives of cine stars, which I don't think is a right approach to the profession.

Any success mantra for those who want to opt Page 3 photography as a profession?
Well I firmly believe that there is no alternative to hard work, so all I can advice is that just set your goal and start walking until you achieve it.
