While performing for a mega Eid show (called Jashan-e-Eid) on Colors, Akshay Kumar got emotional and ended up joining the famous Pakistani Sufi duo - Sabri Brothers - in singing the famous qawwali 'Chadhta Suraj'.

When he joined the singers on stage - an impromptu move, we're told - he decided to dedicate a song to an old college friend, whom he lost years ago.

He said, `This song is dedicated to a close friend who passed away at a very young age. We used to hum it together in college and I miss him whenever I hear it. The song is very close to my heart. ` Akshay also hummed a few lines of 'Duma Dum Mast Kalandar' and spoke to the singers about their work.

Akshay additionally performed with Sonakshi Sinha to the songs of the forthcoming 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara. '

Jashan-e-Eid will be telecast on Colors on August 11 and features Akshay, Sonakshi and Imran.
