Dhanush was accompanied by Tamil actors Sivakarthikeyan and Sathish.
"Soon after 'Raanjhanaa' success party, Dhanush left for London with friends to celebrate his birthday. He is planning to stay there for a few more days and will also be joined by music composer Anirudh Ravichander," a source close to the actor told.
Anirudh, who was supposed to travel with Dhanush to London, had to stay back for the audio launch of his upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy "Vanakkam Chennai".
En route to London, Dhanush posted on his Twitter page: "On my way to London with my best (friends) for my 30th birthday. Anirudh (will) join us soon after audio launch."
Meanwhile, Dhanush's Hindi debut "Raanjhanaa" has entered the Rs.100 crore club, while his recent Tamil release "Maryan" is enjoying a decent run at the box-office.
