With the mining mafia recently grabbing headlines, an upcoming film will focus on the issue

With the nation-wide menace of the mining mafia grabbing headlines lately, we hear that filmmaker Ashu Trikha is all set to base his next project on it.

The director has been working on the subject for over two years now. IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal's recent suspension has once again put the spotlight on the alleged nexus between politicians and the mafia.

A source says, `Ashu has the script ready since the last couple of years. While he got busy with Enemmy, the film was put on the backburner. But with the issue back in news now, he is resuming work on it.`

However, Trikha says that starting work on his film at this moment is just a coincidence. `The country has woken up to the issue. I am still looking for the leading lady for the film and once that is done, I will announce the film.`
