How are you feeling now?
I am doing absolutely fantastic.
Your fans were really worried about your surgery. What do you have to say about that?
I am really overwhelmed by all the concerns around me regarding my health. I feel really privileged that so many people worry and pray for me. And perhaps for that reason, I have always been feeling fantastic. Even with that hole in my brain, I had my spirits intact. I will never be able to thank my fans and well-wishers enough for their love and support.
Since you have worked so hard on Krrish 3 do you feel it will work out well?
Everyone works very, very hard. What is actually important is the (box office) result. No matter how much we keep saying about the hard work we have done for a particular film, if the result is not there, it is of no use.
Dealing with accidents, surgery and daredevil stunts, what was the one thing that you learnt during making of Krrish 3?
Well, I have learnt that there is nothing better in this world than to face an insurmountable problem. And there is nothing stronger in this world than a man's will.
The journey of Rohit Mehra (Krrish's father, also played by Hrithik in all three parts) started with Koi... Mil Gaya (2003), Krrish (2006) and now Krrish 3. We heard this time it used to take you four hours for applying make-up and look old. True?
Well, whatever it takes to make a character look real, you have to do it. It was always a joy to play Rohit who has a child's heart. He is someone who finds joy all by himself. I was lucky to revisit my childhood via Rohit so many times.
But then, in this part, he is also a father. So being a child as well as a father was difficult. However, hours taken for make-up is of no consequence. If the audiences like it, then only I will know that I have done it right.
Is it true that you were more interested in playing the super-villain (played by Vivek Oberoi)?
Ya, true. But I was not allowed. And now that the film is ready, I know why I was not allowed. What Vivek has done in the film, I won't have been able to do that. He is phenomenal in the film.
Having overcome so much in life, how much are you like Krrish the superhero, in real life?
We all have to overcome so many hardships in life ... we don't have a choice. Life is always going to hit you hard and we all know that. It takes three seconds to decide whether I am a superhero or not. Once you take a decision, go for it and keep your attitude intact, you become a superhero. And I am no different and I am a superhero.
