Delnaaz, who will also feature in it, feels it is important to give the audience something different to watch.
"This (love story) is one of the portions of the story, but it is not the story," she told.
"The protagonist's relationship with her friend and her dadi (paternal grandmom), nani (maternal grandmom) will make the entire serial...Unless you give people something nice and fresh, how will they sit back and judge. They will keep watching the same thing over and over again," she added.
TV is offering 'zara hatke' shows, she said.
"TV is giving you something different. Even if it is a bold concept. 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' is a mature love story. When we did 'Kya Huaa Tera Vaada', it was a divorce story and about infidelity. Sony as a channel is quite bold, they take that step and 99 percent of it works," she said.
She describes "...Jee Le Zara", which has 37-year-old Sangeeta Ghosh playing the female protagonist and 31-year-old Ruslaan Mumtaz as the male lead, as a real story.
"This is a nice story to tell people that we are today's women. All the characters are very real. The dadi and the nani are not over the top, neither is Saachi (main character played by Sangeeta), who is a woman of today," she said.
Talking about her role, Delnaaz said she plays protagonists's friend.
"I play Dilshad. She is Saachi's companion, friend, a total support system to her. Saachi is simple, soft spoken, and sweet. This one is loud, loves dressing up, loves her make-up. she is also Saachi's age and is single and happy about it," she said.
She further added: "My character is not only comical or caricaturist. If I can make people laugh, I can make them cry as well. She is an entire package."
