The "Gangs of Wasseypur" and "Kahaani" fame actor walked the ramp Saturday for designer Troy Costa in a black tuxedo teamed with a printed velvet bow-tie. The outfit was the part of the designer's collection - The London Eye.
"I was very, very nervous, but Troy gave me confidence and it is because of him that I was able to manage. Even while walking the ramp, I was shivering," Nawazuddin told reporters here.
"I think one should face everything. Before finally walking the ramp, Troy made me rehearse and made it easy for me," added the actor whose next lineup include "The Mountain Man" and "Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa".
Troy, who collaborated with other Bollywood actors in the past, said he chose Nawaz because he suited the theme well.
"Though I handled Hrithik (Roshan) to Saif (Ali Khan) to Vidyut (Jamwal), Ayushmann (Khurrana)... and all could have been at the show and could have walked for me, but they did not appeal to me, he (Nawazuddin) appealed to me," Troy said.
"He appealed to my story, struggle, and bespoken, which is about tradition," he added.
Nawaz's simplicity impresses Troy who hopes to collaborate with him in future.
"He (Nawazuddin) was born an actor, will die an actor and he won't change for anything in the world," said Troy, who is regarded as the tuxedo specialist.
"He (Nawazuddin) is an intelligent actor. He is simple. He embodies everything that I have never been and wanted to be. So, I am going to work with him for the rest of his living life or mine," he added.
