Riteish has previously worked in hit adult comedies like 'Masti', 'Kya Kool Hain Hum', 'Kya Super Kool Hain Hum', and with 'Grand Masti' the actor is returning to the genre.
"I think the audience would like the movie as Riteish has proved it before that he is good in such films. His other adult comedies like 'Masti', 'Kya Kool Hain Hum', 'Kya Super Kool Hain Hum' were box office success. So we are trying to ride on his luck. Riteish is a legend in the space of adult comedies. We have to credit him for being the torchbearer for such movies," Vivek said.
The upcoming movie is a sequel to 2004 release 'Masti' and will see Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani reprising their roles from the first film. 'Grand Masti', directed by Indra Kumar also stars Kainaat Arora, Bruna Abdullah, Karishma Tanna, Sonalee Kulkarni, and Maryam Zakaria. It will hit the theatres on September 13.
Vivek realises the film's double meaning jokes can be offensive to some but insists it is a fun movie and should be taken in that spirit. "It is a very entertaining film. It has a lot of double meaning dialogues as its an adult comedy. So if you're 18 and above, then watch this film.
Meanwhile, Riteish feels the sequel should have come earlier. "It was great to be back with Vivek and Aftab who are dear friends. Nine years has been too long. I just wish we have made this sequel earlier. But better late than never," he said.
