The actress was robbed of Rs 1 lakh and an expensive diamond ring.
Karishma Tanna The actress, who is starring in the upcoming film Grand Masti, was set to perform at the event along with her co-stars.
Says Karishma, `I was practising in Aaram Nagar at a rehearsal hall for three days. One day prior to the actual event I went to the practice session and kept my handbag in a corner. I never imagined that someone would touch it.`
Much to her dismay, all the contents of her bag were stolen, including the advance amount paid to her by the organisers.
The actress however has not lodged a formal police complaint yet.
She says, `There is no point in accusing anyone as there are slim chances of the valuables being recovered. I knew the choreographers there and I asked around if anyone had witnessed the theft but no one confessed.`
