As the convicts of the Delhi gangrape incident were sentenced a death penalty by fast track court, Bollywood and television celebs voiced their opinion on Twitter. Here's what they said

Karan Johar: Death sentence of the rapists!!!!! Thank god...there is a god!!! And finally...there is JUSTICE!!!

Riteish Deshmukh: Respect the judgement - Nirbhaya's rapists sentenced to death. Justice for braveheart.

Bipasha Basu: Nirbhaya. Finally some justice!

Akshay Kumar: Justice prevails, death sentence for the four rapists! Hope this conveys a message to the other men. They deserve nothing less for such a heinous act!

Anjana Sukhani: The most honest and justified news of the day....delhi gang rape convicts get death sentence . May your soul now rest in peace. Justice delayed but thank god not denied. Thank you for restoring our faith in the judicial system.

Ashish Chowdhry: Today's verdict is a welcome one. But there's more to it-Just being hanged is a mild one. Juvenile laws need change. Non-murder rapes are as bad. Because some really poor potential rapists wouldn't really mind a prison roof and jail food for a few years, instead of being on the roads!

Minissha Lamba: Justice has finally begun! Death to the rapists...this case sud set the precedent for future rulings in our legal system.

Mandira Bedi: Justice has been served. Those cruel and heartless beasts will be getting what they deserve.

Raveena Tandon: Superb!! For once its been victory of the people!! Delhi rape victim Nirbhaya's rapists to HANG! Bunch of us women having lunch clapped in the restaurant after watching the news on TV. Nirbhaya's soul will finally rest in peace!! I am personally disappointed at the juveniles sentence wish it was more, really wonder what will happen to him after 3 years, will he come out "reformed" or a bigger criminal?

Ashwin Mushran: Amidst all of this, one has to remember that the death sentence is for murder and not rape. There will still be a long road ahead for change.

Poonam Pandey: It is real Friday the 13th for all the four convicts.

Varun Dhawan: Death sentence in Delhi gangrape deserved hope. Any perverts looking with a dirty eye at women will understand how India deals with this now.

Ayesha Takia: News just came in that all four Delhi gangrape accused get death sentence. If this is true, a huge moment of some justice for the victim's parents.

Sophie Choudry: "All four Delhi gangrape accused convicts get death sentence" YES!! Finally! Hope this judgement serves as a warning!

Kunal Kohli: Death sentence for for rapists! Justice for Nirbhaya finally. Please hang the 'juvenile' also. He's as guilty as these four!

Anupam Kher: "Death sentence for rapists." This Friday the 13th is a day of JUSTICE. Jai Ho.

Ehsaan Noorani: Hope this sentencing sends a strong message out to men attempting this ghastly act again . A prayer for the soul of Nirbhaya and a prayer for victims of rape to find the strength to carry on .

Karan Tacker: Justice prevails finally! Death sentence for all the rapists! GO INDIA.!
