It was a tough grind for Kangna Ranaut to play the mutant Kaya in Krrish 3. Considering the special look and attire in Rakesh Roshan's sc-fi film, the actress had to work hard in getting into the character. Moreover, she was not allowed any self-indulgence during the shoot. B-Town actresses are known to have their whims and desires fulfilled on the sets but not when it came to working on this set.
Kangna says, `Rakeshji would insist on getting the perfect shoots. He would not allow any self-indulgence. Like if my hair wasn't right, I had to do it myself. I just couldn't call my stylist. He just wanted us to concentrate on our performances.`
Everyone in the industry knows that the filmmaker strictly avoids any unwanted expenditure on the sets. He prefers that stars give their everything on getting the act right rather than be distracted by the paraphernalia around.
Incidentally, it was apparently for this same reason the earlier choice Chitrangda Singh had opted out of the film. According to the buzz, what irked Chitrangda was the working style of the filmmaker. He had felt that the make up guys and staff hired by the production team would be sufficient. There was no need to have a make up person, hairdresser, attendants and other staff to cater to her needs. Roshan was apparently in no mood to incur any additional expenses apart from what his unit would supply.
