Salman Khan's reality show Bigg Boss has been in the news ever since its conception, thanks to some bizarre antics played out by the housemates. However, the recent slew of activities inside the house have led some to question the authenticity behind certain emotional outbursts and speculations are rife if all that goes on air is not part of a well-planned marketing gimmick. A look at some of the recent turn of events on the show that could tilt the scale either ways...
Ticking off the host
Just like Imam Siddiqui had done last season, sources say Rajat Rawail too has managed to rub Salman the wrong way. Sources from the channel say that Salman had got Rajat on board, hoping he would add to the show's comic quotient. However with the filmmaker-actor not in his cheerful best, the star apparently is not happy with his current cry-baby image. So much so that insiders say Salman even deleted Rajat's number from his cell phone.
Romance, unlimited
While Kushal Tandon has been following Gauahar Khan like a puppy in the house, the actress apparently doesn't give him time of the day. Kushal also got into a verbal spat a few days ago with co-contestant Armaan Kohli that almost resulted in the two exchanging blows.
Hair and there
Shilpa Sakhlani lost her cool after her husband Apurva had his hair shaved into a Mohawk. The otherwise calm actress went into a vandalising spree, destroying furniture in the house as she didn't approve of her husband's decision to have a drastic haircut. It was only when Apurva rushed to her side to soothe her nerves that she appeared to calm down.
Fight club
And there are the ladies who squabble. Elli Avaram has developed a penchant in the house to break down inside washroom. She put up a similar show after Armaan called her chammak challo. She repeated her act for missing her dad's birthday. Pratyusha Banerjee's arguments over petty issues, including sitting for sessions of electric shocks, have also raised eyebrows.
