Abusive 'Struggler' cleared at last

Mahesh Manjrekar's one-act film "Struggler" has finally been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification with minimal cuts.

Manjrekar had reportedly completed shooting the film in eight days flat in mid-2004 but the Censor Board suggested major cuts for the use of abusive language in the film, which affected the film's continuity.

Not one to give up, he managed to convince at board which then cleared the film after suggesting minor cuts. The film will be released in July or August.

Incidentally, Manjrekar has two other big films lined up for release in the coming months - the Amitabh Bachchan-Sharmila Tagore starrer "Viruddh" and the Sanjay Dutt starrer "Life Ho To Aisi".
