Sushant Singh Rajput recently got a taste of Shekhar Kapur's long-in-the-planning film Paani. The actor had to patiently wait for quite a while for the filmmaker to arrive for a meeting at a five-star hotel in Juhu. Sushant had created a buzz when he replaced an A-list actor in the film to be produced by Yash Raj.
Says an onlooker, `Sushant had arrived early and was spotted looking a tad uncomfortable as he was alone. He kept shifting his seat in the coffee shop as passers-by kept staring at him. One fan even went up to him and spoke to him briefly. People were wondering what he was doing hanging out alone.`
Adds the onlooker, `It was only after a while that Kapur arrived and Sushant heaved a sigh of relief. His face lit up and everyone around realised that he had been waiting for this meeting. The duo was then seen in animated conversation for a while.`
Paani looks at the water shortage and how it will affect relationships between individuals and countries. Incidentally, a decade ago Kapur had met Vivek Oberoi for the film. At that time he had maintained that Vivek and he were looking at a project together. Though there had been no formal signing, he considered Vivek as family as he had known his father, Suresh Oberoi for years. Much water has flown under the bridge after that.
