The show, based on the international format of "The Bachelor", went on air Oct 7. It features male contestants who are trying their best to win the actress's heart.
Mallika was in Kolkata Sunday. It was scheduled to be a one-day trip, but when Mallika stepped out to enter a pandal there, the crowd came to know about it, and she had to leave the spot even before she could move out of her car for Durga idol darshan.
Mallika decided to stay over in Kolkata and the production house sought special permission for her to visit the pandal, said a source from the channel.
Dressed in a white sari with red border, which is traditionally worn by Bengali women during the festive season, Mallika could finally offer her prayers at 2 a.m. Mallika also donned a huge red bindi and was seen dancing and performing aarti at the pandal.
"The Bachelorette India - Mere Khayalon ki Mallika" airs on Life OK.
