Actor Shahid Kapoor has slammed reports that he has walked out of "Milan Talkies", saying that he never even agreed to do the film in the first place.

"When were there reports that I said yes to 'Milan Talkies'? You have to first say 'yes' to something before you can say 'no' to it. I never said yes, then why are people now saying that I have left it? I never confirmed the fact that I am doing the film," the 32-year-old said here Monday at the launch of his song "Gundhi baat" from his film "R...Rajkumar."

"I said that I have been offered the film, I have to meet the filmmakers, go through narrations. Now again there are speculations that I am not doing the film," he added.

Shahid added that he will make an official announcement if he will ever do the film.

"If I am doing the film, I will let you guys know. I don't come and announce all the films that are offered to me because it's not correct to talk about those films. If I am doing a film, I will announce it," said Shahid.

Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, "Milan Talkies" is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures.

Action-dance in '...Rajkumar' took a toll on Shahid

Shahid Kapoor says shooting action and dance sequences for "R... Rajkumar" was so tough that he injured himself while performing these.

"We were doing a lot of action, and before this film started he (director Prabhudheva) looked at me and said, 'Shahid, you are going to be really tired after the film, so take a long holiday'," Shahid said here Monday at the launch of the song "Gundhi baat".

"I didn't take him seriously then, but when we were shooting the film, I realised how taxing it is going to be. There is a lot of action and dance in the film and literally, almost every part of my body was injured," he added.

However, like everyone else Shahid is also a great fan of Prabhudheva's dance and calls him a true genius when it comes to dancing.

"I must say that the way Prabhu sir choreographs and dances, being a dancer I can say it is amazing and I am a fan. I am really lucky to be choreographed by him," siad the 32-year-old, who is himself a good dancer.

"He is a genius in the true sense. The attention to details he pays in dancing, the style of dance he has, the way he conceives things is so original and exciting," he added.

"R...Rajkumar" also stars Sonakshi Sinha and is slated for a Dec 6 release.
