One day I was discussing how much dance is important in life," Chakraborty said in an interview. "If you are upset... dance it out. It gives lot of positive vibes. There is no point in getting violent and beating up anybody. If you are angry show your anger through dance.
Dance is close to my heart," he said. The actor will be seen yet again on small screen as grand master in the fourth season of popular show 'Dance India Dance'. The slogan this time round is 'Dance it out'. "'Dance India Dance' has become an iconic show.
People learn so much about dance through the show. The turnout of contestants is massive this time. To select the best is a tough task," he said.
Since its inception, judges Geeta Kapur, Remo D'souza and Terence Lewis made the show popular but they are missing in fourth season. Three new judges have come in their place - choreographers Mudassar Khan, Shruti Merchant and Feroz Khan. "Missing is a wrong word. Also, I don't like the word replacement, it is a change.
They will always be a part of it. It is a new concept so we started looking for new people and these three were great. I try to push talent. I know all the three of them," Mithun said.
The three new judges have choreographed hit numbers. Mudassar has choreographed songs like 'Humka peeni hai', 'Pandeyji seeti, 'Party All Night', Shruti Merchant is the sister of noted choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant and has songs like 'Kudiya Nu Thug Le' and others to her credit. Feroz has done songs like 'Maa Da Laadla', 'Move Your Body' and others.
"We are proud of our choices of mentors. It is their passion for dance that has landed them on the panel of judges. The new judges will add to the growth and progress of the show," Chakraborty said. The fourth season of the show is set to go on air from October 26 on Zee TV.
