As bizarre as it may sound, Pitobash recently became the victim of an unusual crime on the streets of Versova

According to the actor, while he was returning home late in the night after a session of script narration, he was accosted by a group of drunken men and was later beaten black and blue for no apparent reason.

Sources say such crimes are on the rise in Versova and a lot of locals have become hapless victims of it. On the night of Friday, Pitobash was apparently walking towards Seven Bungalows when he was attacked, post which he went and lodged a police complaint at the Versova police station.

Says an anguished Pitobash, `They did not snatch my phone or my wallet. They just came and started beating me up. They were very drunk. The lane was narrow and there weren't people around. I registered a complaint but I am still waiting to hear from the police.`
