On a rather bold move, Indian television channel to telecast its first-ever premarital sex scene in a show 'Do Dil Ek Jaan'

If stealing shy kisses were not enough, the TV folk seem to have shed their inhibitions, to go one step further. The lead actor and actress of an ongoing telly soap have shot for an intimate scene, one where they are portrayed as having premarital sex. The show holds primetime slot on a family channel.

Sources from the sets of Do Dil Ek Jaan say that for its actors Nikita Sharma and Ayaz Ahmad to film the scene, the makers took absolute care to make them feel at ease with each other and those around.

Says an insider, `There was limited crew at the scene. In the past, we had shot a smooch scene between them and unfortunately it was not involved in the final episode. However this time, we hope it will be accepted by the channel as well as the audience, as it's a pivotal scene.`

Actor Ayaz says filming the intimate sex scenes felt quite natural to him and his co-star and he hopes it is to his audience's liking. He says, `I am not a hypocrite to differentiate between television, films and other platforms. My bonding with Nikita made it easier and made me feel comfortable.`

Producer Abhinav Shukla justifies adding the scene in his show, `The love making scene will prove to be instrumental in steering the narrative of the story line to the next level. Indian audiences are no longer shying away from intimate scenes and we hope to get good response from the viewers.`
