Ranbir said: "I am very excited about the film because we all somewhere have been influenced by Govinda as an actor and dancer. For me, he playing my step-father is really an exciting opportunity for me."
"I hope with 'Jagga Jasoos', we can give him the right platform to his talent, " added the 31-year-old.
"Jagga Jasoos" marks Ranbir's foray into production, but the Kapoor scion doesn't feel any pressure.
"I don't have any pressure as a producer. I am working with Anurag Basu again and we have certain ideology about films. We are here to make a good and entertaining film, " said the actor whose last film "Besharam" fell flat at the box office.
This will be Ranbir's second film with Basu post the success of "Barfi!", and he will team up with Katrina Kaif again in the film after "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani".
