It is learnt that Ranbir has been granted special leave from the filming of Anurag Basu's 'Jagga Jasoos', so that he can attend the festival's opening which clashes with his shooting dates. Salman who will not be able to make it to Hyderabad has already recorded a video message for the festival.
When contacted, Amol Gupte, Chairperson of the Children's Film Society of India, said, "The two friendliest icons to have on board is a double whammy."
The Children's Film Festival which will run from the 14th to the 20th November will screen 200 films which have been selected from over 900 entries that came from as many as 45 countries. This edition will also see the introduction of a new competition category dedicated to animation films.
