Here's meeting the sprightly actress in a quick chatathon...
Present status
Not much has changed after the success of my recent release opposite Arjun Rampal. Of course, I am happy that people have appreciated my performance in the film. At the same time, I don't believe in dwelling in the past, moving ahead in anticipation of doing good work is my work mantra.
It's my life
As an actor, dad (Kamal Haasan) is on a completely different level. I like the fact that he is so dedicated to his craft. I never discuss my professional life with him. But I do consult my mom on my roles and she gives me an honest feedback. But, at the end of the day it is entirely my decision. I take on films that I believe in.
Multi-talented
I consider myself lucky to be able to do several things like acting, composing and singing. Though right now, due to my hectic shooting schedules, music has taken a back seat. It's been a busy year as I have taken on seven films. But whenever time permits, I like to get back to my first love, playing live music. Music is an integral part of my life, I have trained for music in US and I like to play the piano.
Language barrier
I can speak Hindi and Tamil fluently. But speaking in Telugu is a different ball game. When I signed a Telugu film, I didn't know the language at all, but I am slowly grasping it now.
Family time
Whenever I get some spare time, I like to chill at home with my mom and younger sister. I am a big foodie and love to enjoy ghar ka khana. Even on the sets, you will find me relishing a good South Indian meal. I like to surf channels and watch different genres of films .
Globe trotter
I simply love Turkey because of its people, they are warm and have a happy-go-lucky attitude towards life. I like Los Angeles also because I have studied there and made a lot of friends.
