Abhishek Kapoor has formally proposed to his ladylove Pragya Yadav.

The couple exchanged engagement rings in a hush-hush ceremony and a wedding date is being fixed.

Pragya, who is making her Bollywood debut in Amol Gupte's Hawa Hawai, has been dating Abhishek for a couple of years. They first met at a concert during the making of his film, Kai Po Che.

A source says, `Pragya and Abhishek's families have met each other. Abhishek's mother is keen that the marriage take place soon.`

Adds the source, `The wedding is likely to take place next year as currently Pragya is shooting for her film and is busy completing her acting course. Abhishek is working on his next film, Fitoor.`

Pragya admitted that a wedding is on the cards soon while Abhishek remained unavailable for comment.
