Govinda is all set to revive his home banner after a gap of 7 years.

He had last produced the film Ssukh in 2005 which sank without a trace.

Laughing at his own fortitude despite setbacks galore Govinda says, `Bahot saare dhakke khaayen hain .I've lost a lot of money as a producer. But still here I am. I've revived my production house under the banner Mangal Tara Films. This is my humble effort to keep the culture of cinema going in my home.`

Miraculously the film was completed in a record 29 days. A first for Govinda whose films are known to be stuck for months and years. This versatile actor's last 4 releases-Ravi Chopra's Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai, Neeraj Vora's Run Bhola Run, Haadi Abrar's Afra Tafri and Pehlaj Nihalani's Avtar are in various stages of incompletion.

Laughs Govinda, `That's why I am so happy about Abhinay Chakra.When the director Deepankar Senapati narrated the subject to me I felt I had to do it. It's something I've never done before.At this stage of my career it's important for me to go to a new level. Repetition is death for me. I wanted to play this idealistic cop. And I wanted to complete the film in one schedule.Which we did.`

Now Govinda is looking at an open window to release the film. `We're ready with the film. But we have to find a suitable Friday. No point in releasing inappropriately.I've suffered enough due to clumsy releases. Now I only want to work with people who can deliver on time.`


Govinda is also part of Shaad Ali's Kill Dill and Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos. `But I am not talking about my roles. I am just doing my work. These directors know how to get the best work out of me. Baqi Ooparwale ke haath mein hai.`

Govinda's daughter Narmadda may next star in a film produced by Govinda.

Says Govinda, `It all depends on how Abhinay Chakra is received. To be honest I'd have never produced another film after my past experiences. But this subject fascinated me.I had to make it happen.`

Govinda has also cut an album of folk songs Gori Tere Naina.

Says the actor bashfully, `I have sung for my films in the past. This is my first full-fledged album. It is on Youtube. It is the Govinda kind of music.I sound the way people like to see and hear me.`
