Gulshan Grover feels he has evolved as a villain in 'Bullett Raja'

The bad man of Bollywood, Gulshan Grover, is known for putting several add-ons for his menacing outings on the big screen.

The actor does his own bit by way of styling and make up, but for his upcoming film Bullett Raja, the veteran villain has refrained from any such trappings.

He says, `I may have been doing character roles of late in films, but Bullett Raja puts me back in the scheme of playing the baddie again. Yet, this is a character which is like anyone else. Writer-director Tigmanshu Dhulia has sketched my persona of Bajaj Saab all suited and booted. He is one helluva stylish villain. There is nothing over-the-top or in-your-face this time. The villain stands out without resorting to any gimmicks or lingo.`

Grover feels that in Bollywood films, heroines run miles away from the bad guy. `In Bullett Raja, it was refreshing to see that the lead actress Sonakshi Sinha's character has no qualms of even having a romantic liaison with the villain.`

The screen baddie also thinks he has evolved as a villain and this film will showcase it. `Nowadays baddies keep doing what I did a decade ago. You cannot be snarling and growling forever. Villains too need to be shown in new light. Hopefully, Tigmanshu's vision of my character will make people see the bad guys in new light. They can be mean but still look like anyone else.`

With more and more stars now playing baddies on the big screen he says, `It is a good way for them to recharge their batteries and take up a new challenge.`
