Kunal Kapoor, who is shooting for Nila Madhab Panda's Oocha Gaon Neecha Gaon, a social satire based on water scarcity, has been told to lose his muscle mass.

As the actor is essaying an emaciated character, there is no way a bulked up body like his can be on display.

The actor, who is known to be a fitness fanatic, has been asked to stop working out to lose his muscle definition.

Says a unit source, `The director felt that his body looked too glamourous for the role. He had to lose mass to look the character.`

Adds the source, `Kunal has also been put on a strict diet by his trainer for a lean look as soon as possible. He is also growing a long beard as part of the character's getup.`

Best remembered for his role in Rang De Basanti, Kunal essays a village prince whose kingdom is hard-hit by severe water shortage. The actor is presently shooting in Haryana.
