Paresh Rawal has been pencilled in for Mahesh Manjrekar's upcoming Hindi film which is being produced by Salman Khan. The star is also acting in the film.
The project is the Hindi remake of Manjrekar's 2010 Marathi film Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho. The long-in-the-planning film is slated to finally take off as soon as Salman wraps up his brother Sohail Khan's Hindi remake of Kick.
Says a source, `Paresh Rawal will essay a stellar role in the film. He was recently finalised for the film. Writer Abhijeet Deshpande is penning the Hindi version of the film.`
Salman and Manjrekar have worked together in films like Wanted, Ready and Bodyguard. When Manjrekar, who considers Sallu as his true friend in the industry, evinced a desire to get back to direction in Bollywood, Sallu readily agreed to produce as well as act in it.
Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho which released in 2010 starred Sachin Khedekar, Bharat Jadhav and Saksham Kulkarni. The film is about a father's quest to make his son the best student in the world.
Incidentally, Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho was remade by Prakash Raj in Tamil and Telugu as Dhoni. It also has a Bengali version Cholo Paltaai which starred Prosenjit Chatterjee.
